Hello from Pa. Well the Memorial weekend is over and the tour went better than expected. No injuries and lots of wind and rain as expected. There were over 40 people involved in the tour (fished and ate and fished and ate and fished and ate). Scotty got the best prize (money).

Preparing veggie and flower beds next to new storm cellar.

Lots of work.

Till later.

LV and misc.

Met our Wyoming friends in LV on Saturday. Stayed in Flamingo in Go room. Had a good time. Went and saw the Rat Pack in the Copa at the Plaza. What a wonderful show.

The weather was warm during the day when we went to Ellis Island for the 6.99 steak special (included drink). Ate at the Panazzi in Harrah's and the food was very good. I think we will go to Battista's or another Italian place next time we are there.

There were several good rolls at the dice table and I missed out on a couple of them. I did get in on a couple but going to the other casinos and downtown did not help maintain my money that I took out. (in other words, I lost). Had a good time though.

Stayed up till 2 on night before we left and up at 430 morning when we left. Got back a little of the money but still left a bunch there.quas

I got my tomato plants out and the hail storm we had last week broke some of the branches. I also put out some cucumbers and squash and the cold snap with the frost two weeks ago just about did them in. I covered them but it got really cold. The cucs and squash are blooming. Hope they get enough sunshine because there are not many leaves on the vines.

I hve been to Incident Command System training and will be going to New Source Review training next week.

Getting new tires put on car today. Vibrates and tread is worn down.

Our Memorial camp our weekend is approaching and will start getting ready for it.

Garden

Started Tomato plants. They are about 1/2 inch high. I used the Jiffy Pot to start them. Worked out really well. I transferred them to three inch pots. Getting ready to thin them.

It is suppose to freeze on Monday the 24th of March.
Made it through New Orleans. Half sick so did not get to get out and eat. Have been working on reports after going to field on 5th. Had training on 12th and 13th then left for trip on 15th. Got back from trip and back at work (working on reports).

Big Week

I have a big week coming up after the holiday. We went to KC for weekend to eat at steakhouse. I had the brazillian gaucho shish ka bob. Was it outrageously good!!! 2nd half had the filet. All the food was good.

Getting ready for training this week and next. Driving to Eastern Oklahoma for evaluation of a facility today. Weather should be nice before it turns bad tomorrow and Thursday.

Gasoline price just went up 12 cents per gallon. Looking at the futures and they have gone up 15 Cents. Probably will go up again in the next few days.

I will probably try to get my tomato (tomatoe) plants started in the next couple of weeks. I have found the majority of items I need for them. Will try something different this year. Instead of a regular garden, I am going to use empty protein supplement tubs for the garden (tomatoes, beans, peppers, etc). Don't know how it will turn out but looking forward to trying.

Have a wonderful week.

Monday, Monday

Had a nice weekend. Ate at McGill's and the food was good. A little pricey for quality of Strip Steak and shrimp.

Fed cattle and then went to Granddaughter's birthday party on Sunday. Was very nice. Visited with my mother. Also very nice.

Working on reports (again). Time to go.

Reports

Reports, reports, reports. Seems like that is all I do now (not really). Waiting on approval of reports to get them off my desk.

Temp was 80 yesterday and is now headed down. Wind is out of north and temp is now 40. Forecast calls for thunderstorms. Says it is to get 24 tonight. Ah, don't we just love winter. We need the moisture.

Received Heirloom seeds yesterday. Can't wait to get them started.
